Hi all,
well all, my old isp had one last ditch effort to make things harder to get away from them. My mom called them the day we were having road runner installled. the first thing she got was one of those answering machines, to do this press 1, to do that press 2, to do something else press 3. Blah blah blah. Someone called her back and when she told them we were discontinuing internet service with them, the person told her they wanted it in writing. Mom told her we were getting road runner, and we had someone installing it right then and there, and we wanted our account discontinued rigtht now. she was told I could write them an email, but she decided it would be better to drop by their office nad discontinue it personally. She was also told she would have to pay for this month, even though we haven't used it for thewhole month of december. Bah humbug. Well at least we're done with them now, but i don't understand why they couldn't just accept we were leaving them and that was that, with out having it in writing. I think they're insulted when some leaves them.

Those bastards, i freaking hate them! The last time I tried changing my ISP, they tried all they could to keep me as a customer, even after I'd made it very clear that I wasn't satisfied with their services. I was driven to make excuses: "I can't afford your services," "We can offer you a better deal," "I can't afford to pay for any service right now," "We can get you a job." "I don't need a job," "Then is there anything we can do to change your mind?" Damn bastards wouldn't get the freaking hint! Then they try to get you back in their claws by offering a rebate, as if I'm stupid enough to fall for that weapon of influence, give and take a little, give and take a little, then it never ends. lol But no one can ever be completely satisfied with ISP's, and that's because they're all bastards! Yeah! Damn freaking one-year contracts. Buncha bastards!

It's probably to prevent someone else from calling up and disconnecting your service.

yeah, I can see that troy, but if you couldn't make a month's payment, I bet they'd cut your service off like that, zip. Why would anyone call and have your service discontinued? Mom and I are glad to get away from them, they were hateful to her, well at least this one boy was, when she couldn't hook the phone up to the computer. oh well, they're college folk anyway, and most colege people, beg pardon, no offense intended, but most young college folk aren't serious about anything, but having a good time.
